Definition: What is a Humanimal?
A Humanimal is a human being who fully embraces their animal and biological nature to optimize their health and well-being without causing harm. They put themselves in the shoes of their ancestors, understanding that the human species is a champion of adaptation—this is what it has done since its origins.

The Humanimals recognize that fundamental elements like movement, physical effort, natural food, long-distance running, sleep regulated by natural light, boredom, and community living are deeply ingrained in our biology. These are the very aspects that have shaped humans into what they are today: an animal present across the globe, capable of extraordinary physical and mental feats.
However, the Humanimal do not reject the modern world. They acknowledge that science, medicine, and contemporary knowledge have eradicated many causes of premature death. For them, balancing ancestral wisdom with modern advancements can lead to near-perfect health for the human species.
The Humanimal Mindset
The Humanimals are able to:
• Critically question aspects of modern society without falling into systematic rejection.
• Observe their own habits to identify behaviors that harm their well-being.
• Understand that hunger, cold, pain, and boredom are not enemies but valuable biological signals that must be listened to—and sometimes even appreciated.
• Adopt a natural, minimalist approach (like barefoot movement) to naturally strengthen and balance their body.
The Humanimal vs. The Modern Human
The Humanimals respects their ancestral heritage while leveraging the knowledge and tools of the modern world. This contrasts with the modern human, who is often disconnected from their biology. Here’s how they differ:
1. Food
• The Humanimals prioritize whole, unprocessed food that meets the body’s needs.
• The modern human consumes ultra-processed foods, often lacking essential nutrients.
2. Movement
• The Humanimals integrate physical effort into their daily life: walking, running, climbing, carrying.
• The modern human is sedentary, occasionally compensating with artificial, limited workout sessions.
3. Sleep
• The Humanimals follows their natural rhythm, sleeping when they feel like it not when they have to.
• The modern human disrupts their sleep with screens, irregular schedules, and artificial lighting.
4. Bodily Sensations
• The Humanimals listen to hunger, cold, or pain as important signals for adaptation, rather than fearing them.
• The modern human seeks to suppress discomfort immediately, often at the cost of overall well-being.
5. Technology and Society
• The Humanimals use science and technology as tools, while remaining in control of their choices.
• The modern human often becomes passive, absorbed by technological distractions and societal expectations.
6. Mindset
• The Humanimals foster a critical mind, ask questions, and experiment to better understand their biology.
• The modern human too often accepts societal norms without questioning them.
A Balanced Vision

The Humanimals don't reject modernity but seek to create harmony between their biological roots and contemporary advancements. They accept being an animal among others, with unique human traits, yet guided by nature’s fundamental rules.
I am not yet a fully realized Humanimal myself, that would be awesome, but this is my vision, and I do my best to move in that direction.
Adopting this approach means taking back control of your health, listening to your body, experimenting, and living in alignment with who we truly are: Humanimals.
